Okay, to be honest, I’m not too sure how to start this review, other than by saying it’s a 10/10 must visit! The Calle Loiza Ice Cream & Limbers Ice Cream Parlor was amazing. From my first visit to my last, the experience, atmosphere, cleanliness, and ice cream were exquisite!

Let’s start with cleanliness. This ice cream parlor was so clean it was shiny! Hand sanitizer was readily available and easily accessible. The store was bright and each time I visited, someone was wiping down and cleaning (which is a huge plus in my book, especially in these coronious times). The staff was fun, friendly, and welcoming. From the moment I entered I felt welcomed. And even with the slight language barrier, we all understood each other. I guess ice cream has a language of its own!

Now, let’s talk about the stars of the show, the ice cream, and limbers!
The ice cream was rich, creamy, and full of flavor. All of the ice cream is locally made in Puerto Rico and is simply happiness in a cup, or cone if that’s your thing. There are also some unique flavors that you must try, like corn and oatmeal, which you have to try with cinnamon (thank you, Joshua)!

Oh, and I can’t forget about the Limbers! Limbers are like icee’s, just 100 times better. And since I’m being honest, I don’t like the New York City icees. I find that they’re way too sweet and lack flavor. But limbers are the total opposite. They have the perfect amount of sweetness and are rich in flavor. (The coconut flavor is addictive, and I highly recommend it!)

Coconut Limbers

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed every visit to this ice cream parlor, and I can’t wait to go back for more the next time I am in Puerto Rico! And I absolutely recommend visiting for an authentic taste of Puerto Rico if you’re ever in San Juan!
