I’m Ashley, a full-time solo traveler on a journey to visit every state, country, and territory in the world.

What is Ashley Travels the Globe?

I’d like to think of Ashley Travels the Globe as a travel guide and diary of sorts. It’s my story of becoming a full-time traveler and a documentary of my journey around the world!
Here you will find my very transparent travel journey around the world, including all of my: travel tips and advice, encounters, mishaps, experiences, travel guides, and feelings.
There is nothing that I am going to hold back! I will give you my ultimate travel truth because, most of the time, travel is less glamorous than social media portrays.

Why Did I Start Traveling?

My love for travel started in 2011 when I took my first solo flight to North Hollywood, California. Since my love has grown immensely. I frequented the West Coast for years until I got my passport in 2016, which was the year I packed two bags and flew to Paris, France, to live for a month.
Paris was an eye-opening and life-changing experience. It made me very uncomfortable, and at the time, I didn’t realize it, but this trip would prepare me for my future travels.
But it wasn’t until 2018 that I officially started my travel journey. In 2018, I went on a 21-day trip to Trinidad and experienced a magic like no other.
And it was during this trip to Trinidad I decided I wanted to see and feel how magical the rest of the world could be. Which landed me here on this journey around the world.

I’ve visited 3 Continents, 9 Countries, and 13 States.

I’ve learned a lot throughout my years of travel. I’ve spent many hours in airports, airplanes, buses, and trains. Every sort of travel you can think of, I’ve done it. (Except for travel via helicopter.)

But at the end of each trip, I’d come home to conventional life, which wasn’t an issue until January 2019. That’s when I decided I wanted to rid myself of any conventions and become a citizen of the world.

So welcome to my journey of becoming a full-time traveler! And welcome to Ashley Travels The Globe! I am very excited to have you with me on this journey.
