Saying ‘yes’ more has brought me some of my greatest joys and experiences in 2022. It’s something I started to do during my October trip to Trinidad, and it has had the most significant impact on my life.
During my recent trip to Trinidad, something came over me. I don’t know what it was or what to call it, but for now, I’ll call it comfort.
Maybe it was the comfort of being home or back on the island that gave birth to my travel journey. I’m not really sure, but I was so “comfortable” in Trinidad that a comfort zone did not exist. It was like, as soon as I landed, I was open to experiencing all that this island had to offer. Which started out by just going with the flow of things. If I was invited somewhere, I would go. No excuses. It didn’t matter if I was exhausted or if it was pouring down rain. I went. Then one invitation led to another, and before I knew it, I was well on my way down a rabbit hole of yeses with no regrets!
Say Yes to Life!

Saying yes more has allowed me to meet some of the most genuine people, dive deeper into the island’s culture, and create memories I never want to forget. And it’s crazy to think that all of this happened just by saying one little word more.
I noticed during this trip that there is a big world of opportunity out there waiting for you. You just have to say ‘yes’ and be willing to experience it. So this year, let’s do just that!
In 2023, I will say yes to every chance and opportunity that presents itself to me and see where it takes me. And hopefully, this year will be a year to remember, full of laughs and “I can’t believe I did that” moments.
So now I have a question for you. Will you do this with me? Will you say yes to life more?
This is what saying yes more looks like:
