The Place 2 Be is a cute restaurant located in Hartford, Connecticut, and said on Google to be one of the best places to get Brunch. But in my opinion, I wouldn’t say it’s one of the best brunch places in Hartford, but instead more of an “Instagramable” restaurant.
The service was spot on, and the waiter was friendly and attentive. Ordering was easy, and the restaurant had a nice ambiance. However, the food fell short of my expectations.

I ordered the “Build Your Own Omelette” with spinach, broccoli, and American cheese, and it came with Home Fries and a side of toasted Italian bread. I also ordered a single pancake and a mango Bellini for some razzle-dazzle.
The mango Bellini came to the table first and it was cold, and bubbly. No complaints with my drink. Then the food came shortly after, and that’s where I ran into some issues.
Although the food looked pretty and worthy of Instagram, it wasn’t hot. The omelette and pancake were cold. And the home fries tasted as if they were sitting cooked in the kitchen for a while.

It wasn’t until I went to the bathroom that I realized the restaurant was more of an Instagramable place, with a tub in the back to take pictures in. And a printed hashtag on the bathroom wall.
Overall, the food and drinks were very picture-worthy, but the taste wasn’t the best.
