What is Ashley Travels the Globe?
I’d like to think of Ashley Travels the Globe as a travel guide and diary of sorts. It’s my story of becoming a full-time traveler, and a documentary of my journey around the world!
Here you will find all of my: travel advice, travel encounters, mishaps, experiences, travel guides, feelings about places, things to do, and tons of travel tips!
There is nothing that I am going to hold back! I am going to give you the ultimate travel truth, because a lot of the time, travel isn’t as glamorous as social media portrays.
Why Did I Start Traveling?
My love for travel started in 2011 when I took my first solo flight across the country to North Hollywood, California, and since my love has grown immensely. I’ve frequented the West Coast for years until I got my passport in 2016, which was the year I packed two bags and flew to Paris, France, to live for a month.
I’ve visited 2 Continents, 6 Countries, and 11 States.
I’ve learned a lot throughout my years of travel. I’ve spent many hours on airplanes, in airports, on buses and trains. Every sort of travel you can think of, I’ve done it. (Except for travel via helicopter.)
But at the end of each trip, I’d come home to conventional life, which wasn’t an issue, until January 2019. That’s when I decided I wanted to rid myself of any conventions and become a citizen of the world.
In 2019, I took a lot of domestic trips and one foreign. But this new year and decade, I plan to kick my travel into full gear and see all that the world has to offer!
So welcome to my journey of becoming a full-time traveler! And welcome to Ashley Travels The Globe! I am very excited to have you with me on this journey.
